Dear Members of the NCFAED,

I am honored to serve as your National President and am excited to share our goals for the year. As we move forward, we will focus this year on increasing outreach, expanding communication channels, and becoming a champion for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) for persons with disabilities.

First and foremost, we must expand our outreach efforts to ensure that all persons with disabilities are aware of our organization and the resources available. We will continue strengthening our partnerships with other employee associations and advocacy groups to reach a wider audience by collaborating in our communities. One of these outreach opportunities is creating a social media presence to better connect with our members and those who need our support. In addition, we will improve our NCFAED website to make it more user-friendly and accessible. We will continue to use communications like the NCFAED Broadcast, virtual meetings, and webinars to enhance our members' engagement and participation.

Our founding principles are to enhance accessibility, diversity, inclusion, and equality for individuals with disabilities. Therefore, we will work to ensure that our members represent a diverse cross-section of the disability community by recruiting new members and producing inclusive messaging and events that reflect this diversity. We will also ensure that all members feel welcomed and valued within our organization.

Finally, we will continue to advocate for the rights and needs of individuals with disabilities in the agency and aviation industry. We do this by working closely with other employee associations, policymakers, and stakeholders to ensure accessibility for all is at the forefront of all discussions related to the employee's work environment. We will also continue to support hiring efforts with human resources and civil rights to expand employment opportunities for persons with disabilities in civil service and the agency.

I am excited about the year ahead and look forward to working with each of you to achieve our goals. Together, we can make a real difference in the lives of persons with disabilities and make our voices heard.

Sincerely,

Nathan A. McCoy
